Overall Rationale: I consider previous week’s ranking as a starting point, but do not consider previous ranking when determining new ranking. Prioritize undefeated teams, followed by 1 loss teams, and then 2 loss team. I then compare teams with same number of losses and assess (1) wins against ranked teams - my rankings, (2) wins against 2 loss or less power 4 teams - quality wins (3) wins against 2 loss or less G6 teams, (4) wins against P4 teams with 3 or 4 losses, (5) wins against G6 teams with 3 or 4 losses, (6) loss against ranked team, (7) loss to non-ranked team

I try to follow these criteria in sequence but compare multiple when teams resumes are similar - for example, ND has 2 quality wins and four total P4 wins versus IU’s 3 quality wins (1 G6) and only 3 P4 wins. I considered these near equal so looking at their losses, ND loss is “better” than IU (only barely).

When comparing teams with dissimilar records, I try favor teams with the better record. For example, IOWA is ahead of FLA because although IOWA only has 1 QW, their only loss was to my #2 whereas FLA has 4 QW but has two losses to teams not currently in my top25. In my opinion, FLA has a higher variance which negatively hurt them this week.

There is a cluster of mid-pack 2 loss teams ahead of 1 loss P4 teams (WAKE, USC, ARIZ). This is because those 3 teams have no current QWs whereas each of those 2 loss teams have 1+ QW.
