(-6) Mizzou is at the top of the mediocre SEC 2 loss heap. I understand losing to the Rebs, but almost goose egging against what was previously perceived as a mediocre at best defense is not a building block for future success. It seems they’re missing Ahmad Hardy more than you thought

This spot was going to go to the winner of Nebraska@Oregon, but I stayed up for that entire game, and it was so stinky I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Anyway, here's Missouri—the de facto "I dunno, I guess this poll needs 1 more team" team of FBS football.

(59.86, -8) As soon as I start to believe in Mizzou as a serious team they go and get absolutely embarrassed by Ole Miss. Another one of these middle tier SEC teams that I have no idea what to do with. Maybe I'll plot the Tigers ranking each week and get a fun see-saw curve.

That was an absolute beat down by Ole Miss. I was incredibly surprised as, given the performances by Mizzou since the Miss St game, I thought this was a team who, quite frankly, might have seen a change from Mizzou teams of the past. Granted, there's still a lot of time for them to make up ground. They have games against Texas, Georgia, and Kentucky still left on their schedule, which are not easy games, and I won't be surprised if they drop 2 of 3 in that stretch. But they still have the potential for a 9-10 win season if they can get back to playing how they did against UF and TAMU.

Upper bound is Mississippi St for now. Also, similar-sized loss to a similar-ranked team implies that they should stick together. Big win over Florida keeps them in front of the Gators.
