texas2089	6	Kyle McCord and Devin Brown split reps in this contest against FCS Youngstown State. After the Penguins tied it 7-7, the Buckeyes scored the next 28 points for a 35-7 victory. Marvin Harrison Jr hauled in 7 catches for 160 yards and 2 TDs after logging just 2 catches for 18 yards in the season opener. The numbers look ok, the defense played well again, but this Ohio State team still feels like it's trying to find it's identity. It feels like they should have won this game by a lot more than they did. A showdown with Notre Dame comes up in just 2 weeks so they better figure it out quickly.

The only thing that I can give them is that they scored 28 first half pts and the first-team offense only played 1 drive (3 plays + punt) in the second half. Still, even Ohio State back ups should drop 50+ on Youngstown State. Next Week vs Western Kentucky (Prediction : Sneaky upset alert if Ohio State's offense keeps struggling, but should be cruise control at home.)

Kyle McCord played well and established himself as QB1. The defense looks really good and capable of matching up with anyone, and of course all it will take for the offense to get going is some chemistry between the most talented WR corps in the country and the QB position. OL remains a concern, so watch for improvement there as they take on WKU next week.

McCord did look a little better though, so that should be encouraging for the Buckeye faithful.

Tornadohunter24	9	This year’s iteration of the seemingly ever-consistent Buckeyes is one that is somewhat hard to place. A victory to start off the year at Indiana was nice, but it wasn’t exactly a standout performance. Last weekend’s home game against FCS Youngstown State should’ve been a walk in the park and a reassurance to the Buckeye faithful, but QB Devin Brown was a bit of a disappointment, and McCord’s three touchdowns weren’t exactly calling cards of a Heisman QB. The receiving corps are as strong as ever, with Marvin Harrison Jr. leading the room, and the two lines look as ready as ever for national title contention, but can Ohio State really return to the promised land of the CFP without a strong QB? Performance would say no, but Ryan Day is one of the best HCs in the current college landscape for a reason.
