| kamiller2020 | 6 | No team impressed me more last week than Washington. I was skeptical about the improvements on the defensive side of the ball, I was mostly wrong. Jabbar Muhammad was pretty damn good, and a lot of the depth played solid. Taylen Green was a nonfactor for most of the game. And frankly, the game was uncompetitive after the 1st quarter against a Boise team I thought was pretty right heading into this season. Good teams win this game, title threats dominate this game. This isn't to say Washington can win the national title, but you really couldn't have drawn up a better start for the Huskies. Oh yeah, the offense was pretty good too. |

The Broncos kept the game somewhat competitive, but the Husky passing attack was relentless, with Michael Penix Jr kickstarting his own Heisman campaign with a bang. The defense was relentless and really suffocated the life out of Boise State. Overall a very complete, confidence inspiring game for the Huskies. The reasoning: Washington moves up 2 by virtue of LSU and Clemson falling out. I think Washington and USC are very similar teams, and I'll wait for more differences to show up before I decide to throw the Huskies over the Trojans. As it stands, however, I think the Huskies are comfortable favorites for the Pac-12 North. Next up: Tulsa (1-0) rides into town for another upset bid before a trip to East Lansing against Mel Tucker and the Spartans. |
