tcomn Ballot for 2023 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 5, 2023, 11:18 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Reigning National Champs, didn't falter week 1
Michigan Wolverines
Alabama Crimson Tide
Florida State Seminoles Is FSU good? Is LSU bad? Is it both? Time will tell
Ohio State Buckeyes
Penn State Nittany Lions
Utah Utes 7-9 could go in any order. But a controlling win over Florida all while their QB1 is sitting out... Utes get the go ahead this week.
USC Trojans
Washington Huskies
Tennessee Volunteers
Kansas State Wildcats
Oregon Ducks The Oregon's could be flipped, but the Ducks left no doubt against the Little Sister's School for the Blind
Oregon State Beavers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Taking care of business and working over time.
Oklahoma Sooners Same deal as Oregon
Texas Longhorns Turned it on in the second half, but we'll know more about Texas after this week.
North Carolina Tar Heels Surprising defense, middling offense. Nervous nervous. Drake will need to make better choices in the future as the defense should not be counted on to bail him out. If SC's offensive line is really that bad, then UNC's defense is going to struggle this year as the secondary still looks like swiss cheese.
Duke Blue Devils Impressive win, but Clemson played about as bad as possible. Was it luck? Duke's schedule will show us what this team is really made of.
Wisconsin Badgers Similar start as Texas
Tulane Green Wave Took care of business against a team that could have been trouble, deserves to stay around their previous ranking
Colorado Buffaloes I am a certified Deon not fan, but it wasn't a train wreck and the skill positions seemed to shine. Might have been against the worst defense I've ever seen from a team that was playing for a National Title a year ago. The bad lines and missed tackles by TCU make it hard to fully trust the Buffaloes this year, yet.
Iowa Hawkeyes Didn't look all that great, but the offense did something, although still short of their 25 ppg goal, lol
LSU Tigers Bad loss to a FSU team that seems to be good. Hard hit in the rankings this week, but they obviously have the schedule to be able to climb back up.
Clemson Tigers Embarrassing loss. Hard to believe they had so many miscues and baffling plays. It seems like Clemson thought they didn't start games until week 2, while Duke already appeared in late-season form. Similar to LSU, Clemson can climb back up, but a lot needs to change for that to happen.
Fresno State Bulldogs Start with dawgs end with dawgs. Good win over a chaotic Purdue team
