DarkLegend64 1 I'm not entirely sure if FSU is the best team in the country so far but they certainly have the best win so far so I'm putting them at the top for now.

HHcougar 1 A whopping 70 (out of a possible 75 points) makes Florida State the clear #1 in my ranking system. A #1 resume, #3 power ranking, and #4 computer ranking have them at the top of the list. FWIW this early in the season the computer ranking is pretty useless, there's a 45-way tie for #4.
huskerfan4life520 1
ikindalikelemons 1
Jakesnake42 1 77.66 (Preseason #8 also I think LSU is better than Clemson)
MahjongDaily 1 One of the best teams coming into the year + the best win out of any team = #1 ranking, at least for the time being. But don't be surprised if they fall without a loss as other top teams get more formidable wins.

Striker743 1 Shouldn't even be controversial at this point
T-Thugs 1 FSU Played a dominant second half and blew out LSU, a team with playoff aspirations. By far this is the most impressive win early this season.

cornholesurfer 2 Nobody has a better resume than FSU. It was only one game, but the Noles shutdown of a very good LSU team in the second half was extremely impressive.

texas2089 2 In the only AP ranked vs ranked matchup of the weekend, the Seminoles got off to a sluggish start on both sides of the ball The defense allowed LSU to move up and down the field for most of the first half with some boneheaded penalties helping keep some LSU drives alive. If not for some stout defense at the goalline and some key 4th down stops, they could have been down a lot worse than 17-14 at the half. The offense after an opening drive TD was up and down in the first half, with a Jordan Travis interception and several key drops stalling drives. Whatever Mike Norvell fed the boys in the locker room at halftime, serve that shit up all season. The Noles absolutely obliterated the Tigers in the second half, opening with a 31-0 run and scoring on every single possession before a garbage time TD made the final score closer than it really was. The defense gave Jayden Daniels fits all second half and Jordan Travis finished with with 380 yards of total offense and 5 total TDs. Keon Coleman made a statement in his Florida State debut with 9 catches for 122 yards and 3 TDs. Maybe premature to jump this high, but Florida State posted easily the most impressive performance of the weekend. If they can repeat this in 3 weeks in Death Valley we may have a new #1 team in college football.

bretticus33 3 FSU made a statement with a dominating 2nd half against LSU and firmly put themselves in the CFP conversation. Jordan Travis also started off his Heisman campaign in great fashion with 4 TDs. It would probably be a disappointment if FSU doesn't win 11 regular season games.

kamiller2020 4 Talk your talk FSU fans. That was about as good of an opening weekend as you could've asked for. The wide receiver room for Florida State is loaded, and they showed up big time. Keon Coleman was the difference maker the Noles have been waiting for, Johnny Wilson had big plays, and Jahiem Bell showed up. Jordan Travis battled a tough start to finish very strong. The defense gave up some plays, but when it mattered they showed up big. Jared Verse was a factor all night, including a sack. All the things you heard in the offseason about the Noles came up on Sunday Now here's the true test, Can you battle out the rest of the ACC? I know Clemson doesn't look like a threat after Monday, but their defense and Death Valley gives them a fighting chance especially when Dabo is fighting for his program. Duke is going to give you problems, especially if your offensive line plays like it did against LSU. Miami actually looks competent. This is a national title-caliber team, and I firmly expect the Seminoles to be a top-ten team wire-to-wire. You just need to actually get in the dance to show how good you are.

Dawg-Bite 1 38-7 in the 2nd half was crazy and now have the best win in the country. I believe they deserve this spot this week
Fantastic-Calendar-9 1 LW: 5, I might be a homer but I don't care. This team is for real, and has the best win in the country to date.
JetoGrov 1 The most fun I had during Week 1 (outside of Monday Night) was watching FSU beat the brakes off of LSU in the 2nd Half. It offered some sweet validation for not being high on LSU this year and FSU looked utterly dominant after halftime, a title contender has emerged.
JHallquist 1 Statement opening week win against LSU. Deserves number 1 ranking as it’s the best win by any team this season so far.

ScaratheBear 3 The result: FSU started their season off with a bang, comfortably beating last years SEC West champs 45-24. The Noles, after being down 14-17 at half, put up 31 unanswered points while the defense pitched a near shutout. Jordan Travis started his Heisman case off well, going 23/31 with 4 TDs, 3 going to stud transfer Keon Coleman. Moment of the game for me? FSU's defense, backed up to their endzone, holding the LSU offense out on 6 consecutive downs, forcing a turnover. A phenomenal start for the Noles. The reasoning: As of now, the Noles have the best win in the country and looked to have played like one of the best teams in the country. Jordan Travis may be the best QB in the ACC, the defense looked and played extremely stout, Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson are a terrifying pair of WRs to have... what's not to like? Next up: Southern Miss (1-0) comes to town for an evening home opener, but the Noles eyes will be glued to a 9/23 date heading to Death Valley.

throwaway_6786 3 The Noles were a little shaky to start, but made some halftime adjustments and convincingly crushed LSU in the second half. The worst part about this: Brett McMurphy now looks like a genius for putting FSU so high in the preseason poll.
