FSU seems like a team that is CFP worthy, but not a title contender. They have lapses and cold streaks in games that haven’t cost them yet. Their win over VT wasn’t as convincing as it should have been. Over Michigan for wins over LSU and Clemson.

Beat Virginia Tech, not a great win over Virginia Tech, but everyone else losing moved them up.

If Florida State played all 4 quarters like it was the 1st, then they probably jump Washington this week. However, they went into cruise control after going up 22 - 0 with 1:34 left in the 1st, then Virginia Tech won the 2nd quarter and opened the 3rd with an incredible kick off return for a TD to bring it back to within 5...then the Seminoles punched them back the remaining 29 minutes 47 seconds of the game.

LSU and Clemson's other games have not helped the resume, and them getting outgained against BC and Clemson by over 100 yards in each keeps them at the bottom of the top 8

While the rest of the country/polls slowly drop FSU down their ranks, I persist that wins over LSU and @Clemson are two of the best wins any team has. Games with Duke and Miami (lol lololololololol) are the only two remaining that will *seemingly* give the Noles trouble in the regular season, and are the only two that will boost this team's resume. I don't see FSU climbing any higher than #2 for the rest of the year, but they shouldn't fall out of the Top 5 either.

FSU is similar to USC. Outside of the LSU game, FSU's play has raised a lot of question marks. The ACC has no other ranked teams below FSU after Miami and Duke's recent losses.

A ho-hum win over VT, but what moves them up is the LSU win looking more impressive (and the Clemson win still looks good too). The BC win still looks pretty shaky, but BC is .500 for what that's worth. Their showdown with Duke approaches quickly.

Virginia Tech almost made them blink. This, coupled with the odd play vs BC and the close Clemson game keeps FSU just out of the top 4 for me.

They've kind of faded down the stretch a bit in terms of the eye test, but they're undefeated

In no way has this team convinced me that they are worthy of a top spot. Regardless of the results, the continual struggling against middling to bad teams is not a good sign for the future.

-3, Florida State was fine this week, but outside of the LSU game, they’ve played more like James Madison or Marshall, who aren’t bad teams but aren’t close to being ranked, wouldn’t shock me if a Syracuse team that got destroyed by North Carolina puts up a fight. Not sure what people are seeing to put this team in the top 3
