thatoneguyD13 Ballot for 2023 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 8, 2023, 11:29 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Expected wins/resume strength, leaning more heavily on the latter as the season progresses

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Impressive win over Kentucky puts Georgia back on top.
Michigan Wolverines
Ohio State Buckeyes Win over ND weakens a bit, but Maryland is a good team too.
Penn State Nittany Lions
Oregon Ducks
Oklahoma Sooners Huge win over Texas vaults them into the list of contenders.
Florida State Seminoles
Washington Huskies
USC Trojans Close call against Arizona causes them to drop one spot.
Texas Longhorns Still one spot ahead of the team they beat.
Alabama Crimson Tide
North Carolina Tar Heels
Louisville Cardinals Very impressive win over ND. Might be #2 team in ACC
Ole Miss Rebels
Oregon State Beavers #15-18 could be in almost any order. Beavers have the best loss (only 3 points on the road to WSU) and arguably the best win (14 points over Utah). Could be convinced to move these around.
Utah Utes Overall resume is arguably better than Or St, but with head to head loss and no differing results against common opponents, I have them one spot behind.
UCLA Bruins Win against moves them up a lot. Beating Or St would help even more.
Washington State Cougars There's an argument for higher, with their wins over Wisconsin and Or St, but I have them here for now.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Two tough losses but also two good wins. Still a very good team. Schedule doesn't get any easier though next week vs USC
Tennessee Volunteers
Miami Hurricanes Lost a game vs GT they statistically dominated. Still a good team but schedule gets a lot harder going forward.
West Virginia Mountaineers Haven't dominated, but have beaten some solid teams and only lost to a legit top 5 one. Big 12 darkhorse?
Kentucky Wildcats
Kansas Jayhawks
LSU Tigers One of the toughest schedules in football thus far and have handled it fairly well.
