DiscipleOfDietrich Ballot for 2023 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 10, 2023, 8:30 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Two prominent factors: team outcomes thus far, as well as perceived overall team ability

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs A win over a good Kentucky team gives me more confidence to have them here. Until another team gives me a reason to put them above, they’ll stay here.
Michigan Wolverines Every single game they’ve played this year hasn’t been remotely close.
Ohio State Buckeyes Wins over good, albeit not great, ND and Maryland teams.
Oklahoma Sooners Most impressive win for any team this season.
Washington Huskies One of, if not the most explosive offense in football so far this year. This week’s game may be the most important this season.
Oregon Ducks Word for word the comments on UW.
Penn State Nittany Lions
Florida State Seminoles Still not completely sold on this team, especially after a few shaky performances so far this season.
USC Trojans Leading FBS in PPG. Their defense is hard to watch though.
Louisville Cardinals Best they’ve looked since Lamar was at QB.
Texas Longhorns Tough loss to a great Oklahoma team. If they had won, their positions may be flipped. Outcomes matter.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Kentucky Wildcats Who can blame them for losing to Georgia?
North Carolina Tar Heels The next three both have impressive wins and a single, close loss on their resume.
Ole Miss Rebels
Duke Blue Devils
Washington State Cougars The next four Pac-12 schools have completed a mini circle of suck. They’re ranked based on non-conference results and perceived talent of team.
Oregon State Beavers
UCLA Bruins
Utah Utes
Tennessee Volunteers There’s a lot of one-loss FBS teams. Some of them have to be in here. I’m not sold on the ones in B12 or B1G.
James Madison Dukes Undefeated in the FBS through this part of the season deserves to be recognized.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish This is about as much grace as I can possibly give a two-loss team this deep into the season.
Kansas Jayhawks
Missouri Tigers
