SpencoDaMainMan Ballot for 2023 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 8, 2023, 8:37 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Finally played like the back-to-back national champs. If they play this way for the rest of the year they'll be tough to stop. Finally played up to their brand.
Oklahoma Sooners Tough to not rank them in the top 3 after the solid victory from this week
Michigan Wolverines
Washington Huskies
Ohio State Buckeyes Down 1 because of the bit of trouble they got into with a very overmatched Maryland
Oregon Ducks
Penn State Nittany Lions
North Carolina Tar Heels
Florida State Seminoles In no way has this team convinced me that they are worthy of a top spot. Regardless of the results, the continual struggling against middling to bad teams is not a good sign for the future.
Louisville Cardinals A convincing win over Notre Dame lands Louisville at 10. It is very likely that they would not be this high if not for the ranks of 10-20 self-destructing this weekend.
Oregon State Beavers
Texas Longhorns Texas took a tough loss, but they are definitely not out of the playoff. The rematch in the Big-12 Championship should be a good game.
Alabama Crimson Tide It pleases me to say that in no way does this team look like a playoff team. Texas A&M is close every year, but against a backup quarterback, they should have won by more than a score. Alabama has a day of reckoning coming soon, as they can't keep winning games that they look like the worse team in.
USC Trojans Similar to Alabama, USC does not look like a playoff team at all. Consistent struggles against middling teams is not a sign of success, and USC continues to make that their brand. They did not deserve to win this weekend, and against a brutal PAC-12 schedule I don't expect them to go far.
Duke Blue Devils
Utah Utes
Ole Miss Rebels Among other teams falling ass-backward into higher rankings, Ole Miss is not convincing anyone with the win over Arkansas.
Kansas Jayhawks
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
UCLA Bruins
Washington State Cougars
LSU Tigers
Wisconsin Badgers It seems like Wisconsin is going to be the de-facto punching bag for whoever wins the East
Tennessee Volunteers
Clemson Tigers
