Bank_Gothic	16	I'm probably a bit low on Tennessee, given how good they looked against Texas and the nice win over Auburn. But they were ranked No. 22 in my poll last week, so sitting at No. 16 is a solid step up. Are they better than the "middle tier" of the SEC, or are they firmly in the middle tier? And if so, where do they sit? Need to see more, but I think the Vols are a dangerous team this year and will continue to move them up in poll if they continue to win.

Several teams above them lost, They had a solid win against Auburn where the game never felt in doubt, and their only loss was a close loss to a highly ranked Texas. As other SEC teams fall in lopsided losses to worse ranked teams the close loss to Texas helps buoy Tennessee.

I've been beating the drum that the Vols were never gonna get far without an answer at QB, and while George MacIntyre rescued them this week after Faizon Brandon's benching, I need a lot more than a second-half comeback against 3-2 Auburn to believe that issue is resolved.

George MacIntyre came in and passed 8/10 for 86 so a pretty high flying day in the air for the Vols. However, UT did more than enough to make up for that with their work on the ground - DeSean Bishop ran for 220 yards and 3TDs, lifting Tennessee above Auburn.
