Both the Pokes and Ducks jump a good bit this week, mainly as a consequence of (a) the second-tier SEC collective settling a little lower in the rankings and (b) head-to-head putting Oregon over Boise State. As someone who doesn't often believe in my team much, I do believe in what I've seen of them lately, but I'd be lying if I said I was confident heading into a home matchup against an unimpressive UCF. It's our game to lose, so obviously we're going to lose it.

Last week they were 32 in the computer model, but ended up 12th, the highest ranked 1 loss team, largely because I felt that they and Oregon |2| were in the same bucket of teams, and head to head mattered. Oregon was 23 in the computer last week. This week both teams were on a bye, but the Tulsa |5| loss continues to look worse and worse, while Oregon's opponents have looked better and better. Its going to be a very weird team all year. This week Oklahoma State is ranked 29 in the computer, while Oregon is all the way up to 7, separating them into different tiers entirely.

The head-to-head over Oregon continues to prop OSU up in my poll and I've more or less forgiven the Pokes for their week 1 loss to Tulsa (who might actually be decent).
