Jakesnake42 Ballot for 2026 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 4, 2026, 12:52 p.m.

Overall Rationale: We are starting to get closer to the part of the season where we can only look at the resumes, we aren't there JUST yet but getting closer.....its how we get a team losing and moving up multiple spots....*looks at Miss St*

Rank Team Reason
Indiana Hoosiers Maybe we should listen when Cignetti called Northwestern good.... Last Week: #1
Texas Longhorns Texas still holds onto the best win in the country but other teams are starting to build up resumes of their own. Last Week: #2
Alabama Crimson Tide Speaking of which, Alabama might have the best offense in the country...scoring 45+ every game so far. Last Week: #9
Georgia Bulldogs Still the metrics darling "best" team in the country but they do need to play actual teams at some point. Last Week: #3
Ohio State Buckeyes Huge road win @ Iowa to no longer rely on "quality losses" as that won't hold muster much longer. Last Week: #4
Notre Dame Fighting Irish The Wisconsin win is starting to age well for the Irish. Last Week: #5
Miami Hurricanes Not sure if that game says more about Miami or Dabo, on the other hand the Wake win is aging well. Last Week :#6
Texas Tech Red Raiders This is the most "well...they are winning but it looks awful" team i've seen this year. Houston win is holding them up. Last Week: #8
Utah Utes First team without a true top win but they've been beating the hell out of their competition so far. Last Week: #12
BYU Cougars Arizona winning helps out BYU's case. One more win and they get their date with Notre Dame. Last Week: #14
Oklahoma State Cowboys That Tulsa loss is going to be the most unexplainable game of the year at this rate. My personal philosophy is I can forgive a dreadful loss if you have the win to make up for it and they do at this stage. Last Week: #17
Oregon Ducks Really good pair of Top wins over Boise and USC. Good time for a bye week with an injured QB. Last Week: #18
Mississippi State Bulldogs This is where the SEC H2H train comes into play....yes Miss St didn't look good against Bama but Bama might just be them....too early to ignore H2H for teams with the same records. Last Week: #13
Missouri Tigers Huh, y'all might actually be top 20 good this year instead of 8-4 with wins over cupcakes...good work. Last Week: NR
Florida Gators You stole Ole Miss's playbook of a massive letdown after a huge win? not ideal. Last Week: #7
Ole Miss Rebels That Louisville game is not aging greatly. Last Week: #10
LSU Tigers Clemson might just be awful dawg. Last Week: #11
Pittsburgh Panthers i had to watch that live....no further comment. Last Week: #22
Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee isn't going to be able to get away with their resume being "we nearly beat Texas at home" for long. Last Week: #16
UCLA Bruins Beating the crap out of bad teams got you here, time to show us what you got at Oregon. Last Week: #19
Boise State Broncos Who are they actually losing to the rest of the way? Last Week: #20
Nebraska Cornhuskers Well its also the first test for Nebraska this week against the DEFENDING champs. If Nebraska is gonna be back....would be a hell of a time to do it. Last Week: #21
Houston Cougars Great comeback win vs UCF that keeps Houston on the fringes of the rankings. Last Week: #24
James Madison Dukes HOW DO THEY KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH ALWAYS HAVING COACHES?! Last Week: NR
Duke Blue Devils There is a chance this is the worst 11-1 P4 team of all time with a loss to Miami....not too sure that should be a playoff team.....sue me. Last Week: #25

Dropped: #13 Iowa, #23 VT :(
