Overall Rationale: play someone with a pulse and win

Texas Longhorns
|
Doesn't look like the best team in the country but has the best resume so far. Winner of UGA Bama will take their place this week because Oklahoma looks awful and that win won't be as valuable. Best wins OSU, Tennessee. |
| 2 |
Alabama Crimson Tide
|
Look dominant against some surprisingly good teams but I'd believe you if you told me that Kentucky and Miss St (both who should be ranked right now) end the year unranked with 4-5 losses. Best offense in the country currently in terms of weapons at each position. Best wins Miss St. Kentucky. Currently have the second best record but could change greatly over the next few weeks. |
| 3 |
Georgia Bulldogs
|
have yet to be challenged but look really good. They've played three of the 4 worst SEC teams and certainly the three worst offenses. No doubt the UGA defense is good but likely will come down to Earth soon. Have played Oklahoma's defense which is good but statistically had their worst outing and looked pedestrian at times despite the scoreline. Best wins Oklahoma, Vandy? |
| 4 |
Miami Hurricanes
|
Slowed down some with some pseudo competition but still dominated. Miami has to excuse to not win the ACC. Best wins Clemson, wake forest |
| 5 |
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
|
Surprising dog fight through some of this game with UNC. I walked away from that guy with higher respect to UNC than lost respect to ND though. Wisconsin win still looks pretty good. Best wins are Wisconsin and UNC |
| 6 |
Ohio State Buckeyes
|
Passing the eye test and Jeremiah Smith is the best football player on the field this year. Best win Iowa. |
| 7 |
Indiana Hoosiers
|
Like the past 2 years, it's impossible to know how good Indiana is because they just haven't played anyone notable. I considered putting them lower but letting their natty cloud my judgment. First real test is in two weeks. |
| 8 |
Ole Miss Rebels
|
still very high on Ole Miss with Trinidad. I don't think they have anything to worry about. Best win over LSU and Louisville |
| 9 |
Texas Tech Red Raiders
|
Can tech make it through the Big 12 undefeated? Also haven't really played anyone outside of Houston |
| 10 |
LSU Tigers
|
Will also be fine, still a good offense with surprisingly strong defense but their wins are deteriorating. Best wins are Texas AM and Clemson. Need to keep winning big or get to the meat of their schedule. |
