3 Ohio State Buckeyes Boosting them up a bit for a solid win against Iowa, and after this week's results I'm making an effort to de-emphasize the SEC from where they've been. Further explained in the SEC teams blurbs
4 Alabama Crimson Tide With how the info in front of me as I'm typing this looks; the MissSt win is one of the best wins anyone has had so far this season. As such, I think they've got enough of a resume built up by now through transitive wins and general production to jump UGA.
5 Georgia Bulldogs Every chance they're better than Bama, however they've somehow avoided playing anyone involved in the current SEC round robin that's making the ranking so tough, which means they don't have the resume to put them above Bama right yet.
6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish You really should beat UNC by more than 11 if you wanna be seen as a serious threat. Granted, this is the last spot I'm confident in saying that you are in fact a CFP team.
7 Indiana Hoosiers
8 Texas Tech Red Raiders Please lose before the CCG, I really don't want you to embarrass the XII in the CFP again. Continues to win but not in a way that makes me feel like you're a CFP team yet.
9 Utah Utes Unlike TTU, you look really damn good, however you just don't have the win to put you above TTU right now. Hold tight, your time will come.
10 BYU Cougars I'll admit I didn't watch the TCU game so i'm going off the box score, but everything looks like they took care of business well enough, they just played with their food a lot more than you'd like to see. This is me dropping them 3 spots from last week, there's much worse things in this poll to focus on.
11 Tennessee Volunteers Here's where I go insane. Your only loss is to my #1 team, and you beat the crap out of your OOC games, that alongside beating Auburn (with much less flash than the OOC games but still) you've somehow found your way here. Please do not disappoint me.
12 Mississippi State Bulldogs Yes, they gained a lot of spots after taking a BAD beating from Bama. The win over Missouri magically becoming a really quality win alongside trying to sort out the rest of the SEC makes this necessary. Combine their resume with how fun they are to watch I can deal with them being this high for now, I have faith they can maintain this.
13 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Now THIS is ridiculous, don't even think they were in the top 30 last week but I've got them 13th. Their only loss is to my #2 team, and they've taken care of business against all of their other opponents that I have to respect them. I honestly hope they're legit cause the world where MissSt and Wake are conference contenders is a world I wanna live in.
14 Missouri Tigers Congrats, you've ruined everything! Every single weird ranking on this list is a majority your fault! I sincerely hate you. Please never win again.
15 Oklahoma State Cowboys You know the drill, Tulsa loss bad, Oregon win good.
16 Oregon Ducks Gained a spot alongside OkSt to help spread the SEC teams a little further apart from each other and give myself some grace in figuring out what the hell to do with them. when you lose to UCLA next week I'm probably gonna have to drop OkSt with you and it's gonna be a whole mess.
17 Florida Gators Proud to say I kept them outside my top 10 last week, having them 11th, meaning this is a somewhat reasonable 6 spot drop! Huzzah!
18 Iowa Hawkeyes Comparing you to MissSt, who I lifted up despite losing this week, Iowa doesn't have nearly as good of a resume nor do they look as good of a team to warrant such. Still a team I wouldn't wanna play if I was anyone worse than tOSU, but alas, you had to play tOSU.
19 Ole Miss Rebels Guys their resume is falling off a cliff more and more as the weeks go on, I don't even think this is an odd spot for them right now, this feels correct. Desperately in need of a new quality win after their last two continue to do little.
20 Duke Blue Devils Welcome to the batch of P4 teams who haven't done anything wrong! That or I haven't watched enough of you to nitpick at flaws! This applies to everyone below this spot that doesn't have a blurb of it's own.
21 UCLA Bruins
22 LSU Tigers running it up on McNeese doesn't hide that much like Ole Miss you also don't have a quality win, combine that with being Ole Miss current best win and yeah you're not gonna be too high in my rankings.
23 Nebraska Cornhuskers
24 UTSA Roadrunners Sticking to it, why not. Close one against Rice this week but again, if you've only lost to my #1 team you can hang in the top 25.
25 Pittsburgh Panthers You don't deserve to be here, straight up. This is a pity ranking. Nothing to do with the QB Injury but man y'all really don't look like a top 25 team. congrats on staying undefeated though.
