cyberchaox Ballot for 2026 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 4, 2026, 9:58 a.m.

Overall Rationale: No teams under .500, and teams with losses must be ranked behind all teams they lost to until a point in the season is reached when it is impossible to rank 25 teams in this way.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs
Alabama Crimson Tide
Texas Longhorns
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Utah Utes
Ohio State Buckeyes
Indiana Hoosiers
BYU Cougars
Miami Hurricanes
Mississippi State Bulldogs Yeah that loss looked bad but they still have transitive wins over most of the other 1-loss teams in the conference. The MSU > Mizzou > Florida > Ole Miss > LSU chain is too strong.
Tennessee Volunteers And Tennessee's comeback over Auburn might be the only thing keeping MSU from being even higher, because Baylor continues to not lose again.
UCLA Bruins
Missouri Tigers
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Arizona Wildcats
James Madison Dukes
Kentucky Wildcats Way too close a call, but they get a boost by sheer virtue of their loss being directly to an unbeaten team instead of buried under a chain of 1-loss teams.
North Dakota State Bison With UMass and USF both losing, it's officially a two-team race for the G6 spot. Except the media will still promote Boise as the favorite because they held Oregon close and...I guess the rest of their non-con was other "top" G6 teams?
Florida Gators
Northwestern Wildcats I still had Iowa fairly high after their loss to tOSU, and had Wisconsin high too, but it's time to admit that wins over Penn State and Michigan don't really move the needle any more. Northwestern held Indiana tight, though, and their win over Colorado briefly looked like it would be big when the Buffs were handling TTU early.
Houston Cougars
Auburn Tigers Auburn can and will play anyone close. They'll probably give Georgia a scare next week before losing, then upset LSU (again, only by a few points) and I'll have them on my ballot again at 4-3.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons The ACC just doesn't move the needle at all. Wake, Pitt, and Duke (who didn't even make it!) would definitely be higher up if they came from another conference.
Pittsburgh Panthers
Nebraska Cornhuskers Nebraska, on the other hand, just hasn't played anyone yet. And they struggled for a while with Maryland.

Next five: Duke, Baylor, Ole Miss, Iowa, Wisconsin
