NyquillusDillwad20 | 7 | The back-to-back Pac-? champs are looking to 3-peat before the conference collapses. Like USC, they also return a lot of talent including a star QB. Whittingham is one of the best coaches in the country, but I give USC the edge just due to recruiting. |

crownebeach | 9 | Utah, like Washington, has a decent returning production numbers spread across both sides of the ball. But they have less roster talent than Washington and they're going to be more reliant on two key players, Rising and Kuithe, than the other top teams in the Pac-12. One x-factor is Andy Ludwig, who has completely transformed his image since returning to Utah. I would grade him as the best coordinator in the Pac-12 today. Another is their strength in the trenches; they've always had Polynesian recruiting clout on the defensive line, but this is one of the most talented OLs they've ever had as well. Playoff ceiling, probably not deep enough to win it all. |

Corgi_Koala | 12 | Whittingham is criminally underrated as a HC. He has the roster and blueprints to beat any team on their schedule- USC included. The PAC 4 looks brutal this year though with 5 ranked teams and 3 top 10 teams. @Oregon State, @USC, and @Washington plus Oregon at home is hard to see them escaping unscathed. PAC title is in play but probably not a playoff berth. |

bretticus33 | 14 | Utah is now a regular player in the PAC, but only for one more season. Utah OC Andy Ludwig turned down Notre Dame to stay a Ute and given the returns in the OL and RB rooms, his rushing attack should still be very good. Defensively, it should be more of the same with a defense that’s very tough to move and score on. The biggest question for Utah is the health of QB Cam Rising, who tore his ACL in the Rose Bowl. |

ScaratheBear | 13 | Does the season rest on Cam Rising's health? Utah's golden boy, the player most singlehandedly responsible for Utah's back to back conference championships, is unlikely to play against Florida in the season opener. Could that potentially derail Utah's hopes of a 3peat? The rest of the Utah team looks strong, and certainly capable of picking up the slack should Rising be out for an extended period. The bigger problem is the schedule. Trips to Oregon State, USC, and Washington, as well as home games against UCLA and Oregon, make it seem as though the Pac-12 is going to have another year of cannibalization. |

throwaway_6786 | 14 | Honestly, I'm not really sure where to put the Utes after another Pac-12 championship and another tough Rose Bowl loss. Kyle Whittingham has kept this team right in the thick of a conference loaded with talent, but no NY6 bowl wins since joining the Pac-12 makes me wonder if they're a little overrated. It will sort itself out as the season goes on, but Utah still looks like a tough team for anyone to beat, so they stay in the top 15 for now. |
