cyberchaox 16 I honestly do believe South Carolina is a team on the rise. They finished last year strong, updating Tennessee and Clemson and playing Notre Dame close in the bowl. And if I'm wrong, well, UNC is another team that is so frequently overrated that I want to see them prove something first. If UNC wins, then I get in line with the AP ranking the Heels, and if USC wins, I'm a week ahead of the curve. No lose situation.

coletheredditer 21 Remember when Spencer Rattler was going to be the #1 pick in the 2022 draft?
HHcougar 21 SCar can put it together and be great, and they can struggle and be sub-par. They'll do both.

ikindalikelemons 22 Beamer Ball, baby. This is, in my opinion, a massively underrated roster. Spencer Rattler can carry this roster, but will he? The schedule doesn't do that many favors. They open in Charlotte with Drake Maye and UNC and play on the road in Athens, Knoxville, and College Station. I'd almost call that a war crime. But if they can go 2-2 or better against those 4, they should have a pretty good chance for a 9-win season.

bretticus33 23 Shane Beamer is turning out to be a great coach for South Carolina. He got South Carolina to 8 wins including a blowout of Tennessee and a road win over Clemson to end the season before narrowly losing to Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. Spencer Rattler looked improved in 2022 and returns in 2023, but one of the questions will be if he can cut down on the turnovers. The biggest overall question is the turnover, where only 4 starters on each side of the ball return and the trenches need a rebuild.

FourteenClocks 21 We started shouting out "BEAMERBALL" around my house. A nice program with uber-upset potential has been assembled in fast fashion. Appreciate that Shane started shutting mouths in his first season, and with some encouragement I think Rattler can keep improving. Losing their OC was apparently an upgrade, so good for them. I think 9-3 is on the table, though knowing this team, that's gonna come with a silly loss and a colossal upset.

SpursUpSoundsGudToMe 23 A tremendous finish to the season where the offense shook loose from a year and half of stagnation. This year there are questions on both lines, but lots of weapons on offense and elite young talent in the secondary.

throwaway_6786 24 What a rollercoaster of a 2022 season for the Gamecocks. I wasn't sure what to do with them by the end of the regular season last year, and I'm still not so sure what to do with them now. Shane Beamer is still in town, as is Spencer Rattler, Antwane Wells Jr., Nick Emmanwori, and many more, so the consistency should be there. Now it's just a matter of sussing out if this South Carolina team is really as good as they were at the end of 2022, or if they just caught lightning in a bottle.
