Corgi_Koala 13 LONG LIVE THE BEAVER! Hoping that Oregon State runs through the PAC to spite the defectors. They have a high ceiling but the schedule is tough.
crownebeach 13 Another upside bet on Jonathan Smith being a very good football coach. I'm really worried about the defense, which has never been a strength and graduated a lot of production. But this should still be a dangerous football team with an outside shot at a conference championship.

fredmerc111 14 What’re the odds that Dj Ukulele finds that 5 star form he was supposed to have? The beavers will play with a chip on their shoulder after being banished to the shadow realm. They return damn near everything. Will the QB put it together?

bretticus33 15 Oregon State finally gets good again and the PAC dissolves around them. It took 5 years, but Jonathan Smith finally has OSU revving and he made a splash in getting DJU from Clemson to take over as QB. He’ll have a lot of support from a stellar ground game and the hope is he can be his best self again by getting away from Clemson. Defensively there’s holes in the front that could be concerning.
BUSean 15
coletheredditer 15 The positive is you have a quarterback, the negative is it’s DJ Uiagalelei, and there’s a reason he transferred out of Clemson.

ikindalikelemons 18 I don't even know if DJ Uiagalelei will be the starting QB for the Beavs, but I do know that this team is ready to play spoiler and maybe even more in the last year of Pac-12 football. This team finished strong last year and returns a lot of talent. And you can bet that as they're being left behind in realignment talks, they'll have even more reason to play their asses off.

FourteenClocks 16 The most underrated team in the Power Five made a name for themselves last year, with the comeback victory against Oregon and what could have been a victory over USC if not for that pesky turnover luck. Jonathan Smith, much like Lanning, has momentum on his side, and with the rare splash transfer of DJU, as well as the hearts of many who mourn the Pac-12, a conference berth from the Beavers would be the real feel-good story of the fall.

throwaway_6786 17 The big question that looms over this season (on the field, anyway) is simply this: Is DJ Uiagalelei the answer at QB? Oregon State has so many great pieces to their team, and I can appreciate a run-first offense that grinds defenses down and controls the clock. I think the Beavers have a lot of promise, but it remains to be seen if last year was a one-shot deal or if they can build off of 2022 to reach greater heights.

TinderForMidgets 18 The Oregon State Beavers are a program rising from the ashes. QB is a huge question mark. D.J. Uiagalelei struggled at Clemson but might find his footing at Oregon State. Fortunately, Oregon State returns their top three rushers and decent receiving options. With decent offensive talent and a capable defense, Oregon State has the potential to be a good team in college football though they may not be at the point where they can dominate the Pac-12. However, a lot could change depending on how D.J. Uiagalelei pans out.
