After dominating Louisville in Orlando, Alabama has shown they are the best or close to the best team in college football this year. Dominated a Power Five team defensively and threw the ball really well behind QB Tua Tagovailoa. Next test for the Crimson Tide will be in Oxford against Ole Miss 9/15. |

I know it was Louisville but Tua is legit. That offense is going to score at will on just about everyone this year. On top of that it's a Saban defense so do you really think there's a better answer here? |

Alabama looked like Alabama against Louisville, with both QBs performing well. It looks like it's now the Tua era, but Hurts as a backup is better than half the QBs starting in this league. |

The top three aren't changing until I have a reason. I really wish Alabama didn't have a dynamic QB. Also I don't care about Saban's comments. Let's stop talking about them. |

Good god. They have always been good, but have always seemed to have just an average to above average QB that is elevated by the team around them. Tua seems special. Glad things are finally starting to break Alabama's way... |

Alabama clearly showed that they are national championship contenders in a neutral-site game against Louisville. The Crimson Tide took the No. 1 spot of my poll since this win looks much stronger than Clemson's home win against Furman, an FCS team. As of now, Clemson is the biggest threat to Alabama since they have slightly more talent. |

Alabama rolled Louisville 51-14 and continued their dominance in neutral site openers. This game was over before halftime, thanks to a brilliant performance of 12-16 for 277 yards, 2 TDs, and a rushing TD by true sophomore QB Tua Tagovailoa. The Tide totaled 519 yards of offense, allowed only 0.6 yards per rush, and totaled 11 tackles for loss. Alabama should be 12-0, or 11-1 at worst, going into the SEC Championship. |

They beat Louisville the way they were supposed to and Tua looks exactly as good as he was supposed to. There are some things I could nitpick sure, but Alabama deserves to stay here until they show me why they shouldn't |

Tua fulfilled my expectations on Saturday, shredding Louisville's defense through the air as well as moving with his feet quite well and showing a bit of power in the run game. If he can keep up this level of play against elite defenses, Alabama will be on a different level than any other team. |

Louisville had a 10% chance of winning until 3:10 into the game. Or to convert that for Cardinals fans, 12.667 Pitinos. But that game could have gotten out of hand a lot quicker, if DeVonta Smith had decided to handle it a better way. |

Showing up for week one and absolutely demolishing a decent P5 opponent is always going to work well, and is consistent of Alabama. Tua Tagovailoa also showed what he was made of, and could easily be a Heisman frontrunner. |

Didn't change from Pre-Season. They should just start Tua all season. Dominated everything. No surprise when they eventually make the CFP. Honestly I don't even see them having a chance at a loss until November. Tier 1 team. |

Dominated Louisville.  While I think Louisville will have a terrible year, Bama's domination earned them this.  They look like the best team in the nation, but those above them had better wins.  It's the results that matter. |
