Overcoming their second big test of the year lands the Buckeyes as the number one team in this week's rankings. Wins over Penn State and Notre Dame are a better collection than anyone has this season, and whispers of *silver bullets* have people in Columbus dreaming the annual dream. MHJr is very very very good at football. |

Toughest schedule so far, and they've shown they can ball. A well-deserved #1 ranking for OSU. To me, they're the team to beat. |

Ohio State’s offense didn’t do much, but Penn State’s offense did less, and Ohio State managed to get a huge top 10 win against them. I still think Ohio State gets crushed by Michigan, but Ohio State also has a much better resume so far, and I’ve been wrong all season |

Also impressive victory again Penn State, distinguishing Ohio State as legit. Up next a feisty but likely wavering opponent in Wisconsin. |

Beat a good Penn State team. Whether they were good wins or not, they've beaten multiple highly ranked teams. Due to Georgia not dominating their opponents. OSU jumps to 2. If them and Michigan take care of business (Michjgan still has PSU as the only challenge, though anything can happen), the Game could legit be 1 v 2, which would be really fun. |

Arguably the worst Penn St-Ohio St game in the past decade. I’ll give the boost but I keep finding I have a lack of faith in your offense in big games. |

Movement: +2
Reasoning: OSU emerges from another top game with a win, this time at home. In a defensive battle in Columbus, OSU's defense continued to prove it's worth, holding PSU to only 12 points including a late TD. Due to their impressive wins against Notre Dame and now PSU, I have this team at no. 3 in the country. Day and OSU continue to dispel the narrative of softness in their program, with OSU leaning on a staunch defense to win this critical matchup. Michigan still has to play PSU on the road, but it is looking like the OSU - U of M game to close the year will again have major conference and playoff implications as OSU will likely be able to coast to that point. |

|
CallingUagoatUgoat

1 SP+ T-10 win (Notre Dame). 1 SP+ T-25 win (Penn State). Oklahoma has a slight edge after Week 8 - partially because Penn State fell out of the SP+ T-10 and partially because Ohio State played an FCS team whereas OU played FBS teams in its non-conference slate. |
