nw____ 9 Tough, close loss. Again, the rest of the country is starting to realize the power of the Jim Knowles' halftime adjustment. I was reasonably impressed with the defense, even in a losing effort, and James Franklin said Penn State might still be one of the best two teams in the country. On a more serious note, though, I wonder if losing Chop Robinson winds up being the difference in another game later this season. He is a true difference maker and game changer.

Reasoning: PSU remains just behind the top dogs in the Big 10. Offensively, the concerns about a lack of explosiveness were proven true on Saturday. They still have a chance at home to beat Michigan and remain in playoff contention, and a one score loss @OSU doesn't warrant me dropping them more than one in my ranking.

Prof_Pie 12 A tough loss to OSU shows that Penn State is having some serious problems playing consistently at the next level. If they had kept it close the whole game, I could respect them. But the eventual collapse felt like they were just a team destined for failure from the start, trying their hardest to keep up even though everyone knew OSU was in a different tier.
