RegionalBias Ballot for 2023 Week 9

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Oct. 23, 2023, 12:28 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Reranked every week so if a team drops on a bye it is more that others proved their ranking more than a team dropped (think a team beating a 1-loss team versus one beating a 1-win team). More points for beating top teams, minimal points for beating FCS (though woe to who loses to them). Computer poll influences the poll but human still wins. Willing to carry over good will from past seasons until it's proven wrong.

Rank Team Reason
Michigan Wolverines Lacking signature wins, but dominant. Their worst showing was 52-7 over Indiana
Ohio State Buckeyes Two signature wins, with one being tight. My computer ranks the Penn State as the best of any victories this season.
Georgia Bulldogs Defending 2x Champ getting that nod but they only have 1 decent win. We shall see
Oklahoma Sooners Close win is still a win and my computer ranks like UCF
Florida State Seminoles Tough game with Duke but pulled away
Washington Huskies Reranking lower after barely surviving a 1-win team
Penn State Nittany Lions Putting at 7 because I’d likely favor them over any team below
Alabama Crimson Tide
Texas Longhorns
Utah Utes
Oregon State Beavers
Oregon Ducks Loss and a struggle drops them down a bit.
Ole Miss Rebels
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
LSU Tigers
Air Force Falcons
Missouri Tigers
Louisville Cardinals Last time I ranked the Ville they were beat... not sure it's wise for them if I put them back
Tulane Green Wave
Tennessee Volunteers
Duke Blue Devils Someone heal that ankle
North Carolina Tar Heels
James Madison Dukes RANK JMU YOU COWARDS -- Fine, sheesh, calm down.
Toledo Rockets 2 points from undefeated
Liberty Flames
