A road game against Stanford in Week 2 will provide a far better measuring stick for how much of an instant improvement the Trojans have made.

Beck4ou	15	Up from #17. All around great performance, yes Rice aren't world beaters, but aside from a shaky 1st quarter that ended 7-7, the Trojans put on a show in Riley's first game. Williams could do no wrong and looked improved, if not great, the defense looked better than it has in a while, with multiple pick 6s. Riley couldn't ask for a better start, and if they can maintain their stellar start they will be a force in the West Coast.
