Washington played Montana this week, so the expected blowout victory did not tell us much. After struggling against Rutgers in Week One, I have put the Huskies on notice. Another underwhelming performance against Fresno State or Colorado will cause Peterson's squad to start dropping on my ballot. |

-1 spot (previously 4). 2-0. Despite winning their game, Penn State deserved the spot more due to beating a tougher opponent. Washington did handle their Big Sky opponent, Montana, with a massive 63-7 victory. Schedule weakness is a terrible thing, however. Especially when Rutgers loses to Eastern Michigan and Washington didn't look particularly strong against them. |

Montana is not a great team - but Washington is.  This program is going to always hang around the top-10 as long as Peterson is around. |

Washington played well for 4 quarters against Montana. Difficult to play lesser opponents and be that good for all 4 quarters. Scoring 21-14-14-14 in all 4 quarters.  |

Great offensive performance against a bad team. Should be a sign that Jake Browning just had an off game. We'll see how the play CU in their first real test. |

Play someone real for once. Like I can't tell anything if you only play FC....What? They played a Big 10 team?I don't believe you. Oh I guess Rutgers technically counts.Play and FBS team that is decent before I can write anything better. |

Washington rides the high of last season and continues to carry heavy expectations. No real tests yet, but the Huskies have demolished some weaker team so far, as expected.  |

I have no idea what to think about these guys, but I'm excited to watch them play a competent football team next, i mean the week after, no, the week after... Well at least they play a bunch of real teams at the end. Until then, I expect them to dominate the lesser competition. If not, they'll be punished severely in my rankings.  |

Haven't really been tested yet with winds over Rutgers and Montana, real test will be once conference play starts with a game against CU.  Pass the eye test for now and get benefit of the doubt with being a play off team with a number of returning starters |

Got a road win against Rutgers and then a relaxing walkthrough in Husky Stadium against FCS Montana. Not going to move the Huskies up at all, but they'll have plenty of opportunity to prove they're just as good as last season.  |

Washington honestly probably is good and might be worthy of being a top 10 team, but I need better competition to figure that out. Rutgers doesn't appear to be a good win right now. Had to drop you down from 11 in favor of better teams/resumes so far. |
T-Thugs

Looked impressive against Montana, but that's Montana. Their win over Rutgers doesn't look as good this week, so I've dropped them. They play CU in a couple weeks and that could bump them back up.  |

Y'all can thank Rutgers for this. Paper soft schedule isn't going to do you any favors. I actually tossed a coin for this spot between Washington and Illinois because Illinois does have better wins right now and it just happened to land in the Huskies favor. |
