ND's only loss last year was to Clemson and they bring back a bunch of players from that team. |

Balanced offense and defense with the requisite blue-chip ratio and a favorable schedule. IMO they can afford a loss to Georgia in a playoff context. |

Notre Dame had a great season last year and I don't see any reason why they won't continue that this year. |

The Irish are probably the team I am coldest on in my tier 2. Coming off a big year last year, they have scary games all over their schedule. UGA, UVA, VT, Michigan, Boston College, and Standford. I think that the Irish will be a clear favorite in all but two of these games (Mich, UGA) they are all very spooky games. I think the Irish stumble once or twice against the constant pressure. If they do manage the schedule (which they are no stranger to) I think this is a clear playoff team with no conference championship to play.Having rewatched a decent chunk of condensed Irish games, they had a lot of good bounces against good teams last year. Luck or skill or scheme could all be made as arguments for this, but if they piss off whatever leprechaun that has had their back, they could find themselves in 9-3 or 8-4 territory quick. |

Notre Dame had an inglorious exit from the playoffs last season, but they're still a solid team well-deserving of a top 10 spot. |

Notre Dame or UCF is still a hard decision. I believe both teams would win at home, and Wimbush being on UCF now makes it more interesting of a game. But I think Notre Dame has more depth and experience at this point. |

Notre Dame is talented, and it's really, really tough to see them not as a 9 or 10 win team with their schedule. Although marquee games against Georgia and Michigan will tell the story on Notre Dame's season, very winnable games the rest of the way should make Notre Dame a NY6 contender at the very least. I don't think Notre Dame will run the table this year, and without them I don't see them in the playoffs, but they'll still be a team just barely on the outside looking in of elite status. |

I'm not a huge believer in Notre Dame this year, but I think they will be in the playoff conversation merely because of there schedule. But for games against Michigan and Georgia, they should be favored in every game this season. That's not to say the Irish won't field a good team, but they will be overrated (and probably are overrated here). Such is Notre Dame. |

Notre Dame's composite ranking is virtually on par with Clemson. While they have their own challenges/limitations in who they can recruit, they can still recruit at a high level, bring in elite talent, and compete for championships. To me, I see Notre Dame, they remind me of Georgia under Mark Richt.. The difference between elite/great can often be a fine line and I don't know if this current iteration can reach it. |

They just lost their best WR, but should still slot into the "good" tier of teams. |

Notre Dame looks to try to make the playoffs again and try and be more successful but they may lack the depth to do it. |

Record: 10-2. Notre Dame's road losses to Georgia and Michigan ruin any chance for a repeat CFP bid, but this is still a good Notre Dame team. Led by returning QB Ian Book, Notre Dame picks up quality wins over Stanford and Virginia Tech.Bowl Projection: Camping World Bowl |

I really am not high on Notre Dame.  Like if they didn't have an undefeated regular season last year I would have them at like 20.  This program just isn't at the championship level it once lived at no matter how many times they go undefeated during a super not difficult regular season. |
