2026 Week 10 Indiana Hoosiers Rankings

Main Poll Voters

User Rank Rationale
ChBass 1 How is a one-loss team still at the top? Since Ohio State has the top power rating (despite their loss), the effect of the Ohio State loss is minimal. Indiana still has the #2 defense in CFB and a top-25 offense.

Comment: While Back to Back Overtime wins against teams they should have beaten handily in regulation does raise an eyebrow for me, a win is still a win

The Hoosiers are an incredibly frustrating team to assess this year, given their continued struggles at QB (and yes, this will be a repeated statement for several other teams on this list. It's been a weird year). They are clearly talented, but their O-Line hasn't imposed their will as much as expected, and their NFL-bound receivers are having to make massive leaps just to ensure that they can continue moving the football. Both the defense and the special teams units deserve their flowers after this past weekend, however (despite an earlier mistake by the long-snapper for a FG), keeping them alive just long enough for the offense to remember that they're stacked too. Again, Cignetti is one of the best college football coaches (in spite of his time management issues - seriously, how does every team not already have an analyst specifically paid just for this???), and he's clearly built a contender in Bloomington, but it's a notable dropoff from last year's dream season. How Indiana handles their bye before tackling a stout Trojans squad will go a long way in determining their potential for a repeat.

T-Thugs 8 7-1 with wins over northwestern (6-2), Nebraska (5-3) and Minnesota (5-3). Really find ways to squeak by. I don't think this team is actually very good this year, but think the resume puts them here. Lost to Ohio State

ColombianInIowa24 22 36.39 - [5-1-2] Again sketchy. Two OT wins now, against Michigan and Minnesota. This hurts them a lot, combined with the worsening Ohio State loss. I will no doubt get a massive penalty for putting them this low, but they have looked even more sketchy than Miami (FL), but been less able to pull off success in regulation. BYE. (Mode: Rank 14)
