1 Miami Hurricanes The clear #1, but Miami keeps playing down to their comp. They have a chance to lock up the #1 seed with a win @Notre Dame, otherwise we’ll have some conversations about the Canes SoS as a 1 loss team.
2 Utah Utes Troubling 3rd Q for the Utes, but I’ll attribute that to looking ahead to BYU. The Utes might have a chance to be the #1 team in the nation with a win in the Holy War coinciding with a Miami loss/uninspiring win
3 Georgia Bulldogs Kirby and the boys responded just how we expected. I don’t love their weapons on offense (other than than their rb’s), i’m looking forward to a matchup in the playoffs where UGA is forced to pass
4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Not sure if we can take much from the Fighting Irish’s game, I won’t say their season rests on this Miami game, but they won’t be controlling their own destiny with a second loss.
5 UCLA Bruins Very bearish on the Bruins, but if they keep winning Chesney and crew will have a playoff spot.
6 BYU Cougars Not an inspiring win against the Sun Devils, but a win is a win.
7 Indiana Hoosiers Very bearish on the Hoosiers, a loss against USC would end their season IMO.
8 Kentucky Wildcats H2H should have Bama at #8, I even think Bama would win a rematch, but I like Kentucky’s resume just a bit more
9 Alabama Crimson Tide Deboer and friends need to win out, and they have the talent to do so.
10 Ole Miss Rebels Best QB in the country and when the Rebels are on, they can win against anyone. A win against UGA would keep their season alive
11 Wake Forest Demon Deacons The Demon Deacons would be my last team in, not sure how’d they fare against the big dawgs, but they’ve earned their spot.
12 Texas Tech Red Raiders RR’s probably want a BYU loss this weekend? Not sure how the tiebreakers work, but they’ll probably need a CCG appearance to make the playoffs.
13 Texas Longhorns Not inspired by this Longhorn team
14 Ohio State Buckeyes Way too far of a drop, but I don't know if the Buckeyes can win out from here. Yesterdays loss isn’t totally on Fahey, but the Buckeyes had a death of a thousand papercuts
15 Tennessee Volunteers Like the Vols, winning out would probably lead to a discussion for the #11 seed.
16 LSU Tigers Very tough 3 game stretch for the Tigers upcoming, being in Death Valley for the first 2 is a big help
17 Houston Cougars Hopefully Weigman is healthy
18 Missouri Tigers Winning out might lead to a playoff berth, assuming Simmons comes back for one more year, i’m bullish on the Tigers in 2027
19 USC Trojans Stinkin Lincoln could have a playoff team if they just showed up against the Badgers. A win in their date in Bloomington could lead to some tough conversations
20 Iowa Hawkeyes I don’t know
21 South Carolina Gamecocks I don’t know
22 Boise State Broncos Barely escaping with a win against Txst really hurts their already damaged resume
23 Arizona Wildcats With a better 2H performance, the Wildcats would be in playoff convos
24 Louisville Cardinals I don’t know, these bottom 2 are dart throws
25 Florida Gators Dart throw
