Overall Rationale: Fun week, good luck committee ranking this year. Already prepared for the worst.

First round games
8/9: Indiana/Texas Tech
7/10: Ole Miss/LSU
6/11: Georgia/Kentucky
5/12: ND/Boise St
Side not: lots of fun/interesting games here. My guess now is SEC winner will get a top 4, but getting more campus games/matchups is probably more realistic. This is going to be the area I look at most with the first rankings.

Quarterfinals
Cotton bowl: BYU & 5/12
Rose Bowl: Utah & 7/10
Peach Bowl: Miami & 8/9
Fiesta Bowl: UCLA & 6/11

Natty: Screw it, Holy war natty with Utah winning it.

Dropped
Florida: bad bad game for them. I do not expect to see them near hear again.
SMU: eek, there goes my dark horse ACC playoff team
Northwestern: they had this game...until the didn't
Oklahoma St: that game was a treat.
Wisconsin: you are better than that, but my god that was an awful game for you.

2 Utah Utes Holy war is going to be a fun watch
3 UCLA Bruins High on this team now, will be not to tough to sustain this ranking. Concerned about harder competition against them, may not see it until the B1G champ game and may be to late to throw them down/out at that point.
4 BYU Cougars
5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
6 Georgia Bulldogs
7 Ole Miss Rebels
8 Indiana Hoosiers That game is concerning. Very different team than last year, still wonder if the magic is there and will assist or if it is slowly fading.
9 Texas Tech Red Raiders
10 LSU Tigers
11 Kentucky Wildcats
12 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Border line in, hard for me to rank them higher, but if they keep winning the rest will work itself out.
13 Texas Longhorns I don't like texas here, but I can't justify anything else well right now.
14 Ohio State Buckeyes Interesting team to look at for the near and far future. Have they already fallen, will it continue, will they get a better QB2 or coaching for them in the future. Seem to just be at a tricky crossroad.
15 Boise State Broncos Rough, but still doing good. Other g6 could catch up if they slip.
16 Alabama Crimson Tide I still don't have any confidence in this team doing anything. Won't be happy if they prove me wrong. Already expecting them to be in the playoff rankings this week despite doing nothing to really show. This team just does not pass the eye test to me.
17 Iowa Hawkeyes Wasn't expecting the blow out there. Maybe they are back and ready to run the table. If they keep winning they could easily jump into the playoff bracket.
18 Houston Cougars This top/middle of the Big XII will decide how many bids they will get. Houston and Arizona are solid good teams. I expect them both to be ranked in the committee rankings and with that, should secure at least 2 playoff bids for the conference.
19 Arizona Wildcats
20 USC Trojans Not sure how much we should judge based on an injured Ohio St, but they still got the job done in a few surprising ways.
The 20 ranges have been a revolving door all year and I don't really expect that to change. Very hard to rank this level as well.
21 New Mexico Lobos
22 Missouri Tigers They are still looking good for now, unsure if that will stay. Tier 2 SEC is so weird this year.
23 Tennessee Volunteers
24 Oregon Ducks Not sure if they are really back or NW had an off game after the long travel.
25 UTSA Roadrunners meep meep is back.
