Scary good defense. Contained Heisman hopeful Fournette and LSU's offense became (more) one dimensional |

I know the Badgers were technically unranked last week in my poll, however this was due to my addition of NDSU. In that case, I treated the Badgers as though they had been ranked initially at #25. |

Like Texas, I don't think Wisconsin is actually this high. Beating LSU gets you a spot high in the rankings at the start though. LSU can't pass and this win may get less impressive, but for now they get dropped right here. |

Probably the most surprising win to me. I thought they would get blown out and they not only won, but looked to be the better team for a lot of the game. Defense is nasty. Offense looked efficient enough. The B1G West is wide open and for all of us who didn't consider the Badgers a real threat before the season are eating our words. |

Wow what an impressive win here. I had LSU as one of my highest confidence picks in CFB pick ems. Honestly can't believe a defense led by Justin Wilcox, who was terrible at USC last year, was able to stop Fournette. Is this a fluke or can this team with the B1G?? We'll find out.  |

My poll is mostly just arbitrary decision making. That was a really good win, so I have no clue where to put them. Once some other teams play some quality opponents Wisc. will drop down. |

Not spectacular, but solid against quality competition.  Wisconsin deserves the benefit of the doubt given the quality of their win.  If they can escape this season with one win and LSU doesn't turn out to be horrible, they could still be in the playoff hunt.   |

The Badgers had a trademark Wisconsin win against LSU on Saturday. The defense played outstanding, and did a fantastic job of limiting Heisman hopeful Leonard Fournette. The Badger defense limited LSU's offense to only 1 TD. LSU scored their other TD off a pick 6 on a pretty poor throw by Badger QB Bart Houston. Wisconsin's offense had an average day, but that is more so because LSU looks to have a pretty good defense, as always. |

So bitter sweet. I knew they were one of the top 3 (if I'm not mistaken) defenses last year, but holy cow did they make LSU look silly. I think that game was more helpful to Wisconsin than it was hurtful to LSU |

I'm not sure why LSU was ranked so highly, but Wisconsin easily handled LSU's anemic QB play and limited Fournette about as well as anybody. Their QB play is extremely concerning though and I want to see their defense get tested by a real QB.  |

To start the year I thought LSU would be the #2 team in the SEC and possibly the SEC's second team in the Playoff. After last weekend, either Wisconsin is a much better team than we thought(although I did rank them last week), LSU is a much worse team than we thought, or a combination of both.  |

Wisconsin's in an awkward spot. LSU looked mostly one-dimensional, with LF7 gaining 176 of LSU's 257 yards, but it's hard to tell if that was due to Wisconsin's defense or LSU's offensive scheme. The Badgers are in a holding pattern until late September, barring a major upset. |
