mickeyquicknumbers 2 The more I think about Wisconsin, the more I love Wisconsin. There's a decent chance they finish with outright the best offensive line in the nation. They have a rising sophomore who should be one of the 5-10 best running backs in the nation, a high efficiency QB, and a WR group that was super young last year (two freshman, two sophomores in their top 4). The sometimes-laborious offense will be something of a tank this year. That offensive outlook is perfect to pair with a defense that was one of the 5-ish best in the nation last year and returns 7 of their 13ish primary playmakers, I don't think . What do you get when you pair a top-5 nationally ranked defense an absolute steamroller offense? You get one of the best teams in the nation.

Extra_Excrement 3 I'm buying into the Wisconsin hype. Sure, the B1G West will likely be more competitive than last season but that shouldn't stop Wisconsin from yet again reaching the B1GCG. The Badgers will easily have one of the best offensive lines in the country, giving Hornibrook plenty of time to make reads while also opening up monstrous holes for Taylor. Defense has some reloading to do but shouldn't be a concern.

Miami_da_U 3 Literally ALL their tough games are on the road. If they win those, they'll get bonus points in my book for that. I fully expect them to be playing in the B1G championship. The only question is will they finally win it?. They ended the season very strong against Miami, but the question is will they take the next step or will they just kinda stall in place? Wisconsin has a high floor, but we'll see if they have a high ceiling or not.
mjacksongt 3 A returning efficient passer at QB, along with one of the nation's best RBs and OLs; plus a very good DC. This is Wisconsin's year to break into the Playoff, or they won't do it for a while - though they'll have to manage a tough schedule.

PHubbs 4 Is this year the year that Wisconsin finally runs through their schedule to claim their first playoff era B1G title? I think it is. They drew two of the best teams in the country for their cross division games with Penn State and Michigan, yet they still have an easier schedule than last year's unbelievable gauntlet. The winner of the Michigan/Wisconsin game will set themselves up to be the biggest challenger to Ohio State for the title this year, and as of now, I think Wisconsin's experience puts them in position to win that game on the way to the B1G title. They still need to improve, however, to win in the playoff against the 3 teams above them.

woakley 4 Giving Wisconsin some respect here. Stout defense and a pedigree of success over the past couple of years. They seem to always have a good running game, and all of the major offensive pieces return. Lost some starters on defense, but I would expect them to stay strong on that side

Blooblod 5 Thiccsconsin returns the girthiest o-line in the country--and we all know girth is what really matters. With 27 potential All-Americans starting on the o-line, Jonathan Taylor will have plenty of holes to run through as he aims to take home the Doak Walker Award. The defense will be headlined by the LB corps--T.J. Edwards in particular being a Butkus candidate, but don't sleep on Ryan Connelly or Andrew Van Ginkel having huge seasons either. The LBs wouldn't be able to do their job without massive, backflipping NT Olive Sagapolu in the middle. Elsewhere on the line, look for Isaiahh Loudermilk to have a breakout year if and when he's healthy. The secondary has some questions, but D'Cota Dixon is one of the best returning safeties in the country and CB Dontye Carriere-Williams showed promise last year. My Badgers record prediction: 11-1. The cross-division schedule isn't as forgiving this year, and with road trips to both Michigan and Penn State the Badgers probably won't go undefeated in the regular season.
boxman151515 5 Jonathan Taylor is my preseason Heisman pick. Expect Wisconsin's offense to be potent this year between Taylor, a stacked offensive line and Alex Hornibrook taking another leap forward. The defense will undoubtedly be good, but they have to replace a lot of talent there, so it might not be quite as great as we're used to under Chryst. But watch out for the Badgers.

52hoova 6 Chryst has given us no reason to doubt he can get Wisconsin to 10+ wins. A lot to replace, but I'm assuming they have some under-recruited mid-westerners to fill roster holes.

chrisb19 6 Wisconsin returns their entire O line and Jonathan Taylor, which coming off a 13-win season, is a lot. Despite some rebuilding on defense they should be among the favorites to return to the Big Ten title game and potentially win it this year. Wisconsin has the added benefit of being in the easier division.

T-Thugs 6 They should be pretty good. I'm going to drop them really far on my rankings until pretty late in the season because they schedule like sissy girls and never play anyone good. I hate them for this and think they deserve little to no respect.

HUSKEROYAL 11 The Badgers return a strong core of talent from a team that finished 13-1 last year and was at the doorstep to reaching the CFP. Their schedule is tougher this time around with trips to Michigan and Penn State, but this team should still win the Big Ten West and a contender for the CFP.
