I guess the defining feature of Chip Kelly's time at UCLA is how quietly solid they can be. The Utah game will be a huge bellwether for the season though.

Good, but going to take some lumps in the next few weeks. Should dominate their bowl and be one of the best 4-loss teams in the country

UCLA also benefits from what Wazzu benefits from, and the Bruins also got some help from Iowa's schedule taking a hit and LSU being stuck further down the poll because of the loss to FSU. All told, it's a six-spot increase for UCLA, but it won't mean much if they can't beat Utah next week.

I have no strong feelings about UCLA, go win the PAC be the sleeper everyone forgot about.

The second PAC-12 team we’ve seen on this list so far has been relatively unchallenged in dealing with their opening non-conference slate, with the results never in any real doubt after the first 20 minutes or so of game time. Their wins haven’t been too points-heavy (FCS NC Central game aside), and the lack of an out-of-conference P5 opponent doesn’t really give them the chance to prove that they’re any better than where they currently are (especially with a weaker San Diego State), so far. The game @ Utah this weekend is therefore the first true test for the Bruins, as their gauntlet of PAC-12 play begins.
