Overall Rationale: A computer poll that seeks to come up with a vector of ratings that minimizes the error function defined as the homefield-adjusted difference between the winner and the loser's total points. Basically, what power ratings make the most sense given the season data we have so far. This model pays no attention to who has historically been good, who was good in the preseason, etc, only in-season data.
