ruwisc Ballot for 2023 Week 4

Ballot Type: Computer

Submitted: Sept. 17, 2023, 5:39 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I don't really wanna vote for another couple of weeks, but here I am. I think this is relatively reasonable anyway, so I guess it's fine. This ranking is based on recursive calculation, with a starting point of the preseason /r/CFB poll and applying the results of each game simultaneously. For that reason I could mark the poll as "hybrid", but I don't put my thumb on the scale at all other than deciding how it makes sense to weight things. Earlier games are always re-evaluated based on new information. Teams are graded on their offensive and defensive performances separately, with three criteria: number of points scored or allowed, the strength of the opposing unit in that game, and whether the game was won or lost (wins receive a x4 boost automatically). Next 10: Mizzou, A&M, Kentucky, UCF, TCU, Wisconsin, Louisville, Colorado, Auburn, BYU
