big_thunder_man Ballot for 2023 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2023, 4:56 p.m.

Overall Rationale: SOS, margin of win.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Defending champs.
Texas Longhorns Undefeated, marquee win of season vs 'Bama.
Florida State Seminoles Undefeated, excellent LSU win.
USC Trojans Undefeated, but not tested.
Michigan Wolverines Looking shaky, but undefeated.
Ohio State Buckeyes Undefeated, but against bad competition.
Utah Utes High floor, not sure the ceiling until rising is back. Two OOC P-5 wins give it credit.
North Carolina Tar Heels Two P5 OOC wins. Quietly very good.
Colorado Buffaloes Barely undefeated, but they are with two P5 OOC wins + rivalry win.
Washington Huskies Shockingly dominant against a mediocre MSU team. Probably a top 5 team... once they play better teams.
Oregon Ducks Looking dominant against poor competition.
Penn State Nittany Lions Offense leaves a lot to be desired, but a P5 OOC win counts.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish BYE
Duke Blue Devils An OOC P5 win, Notre Dame will be the biggest test.
Ole Miss Rebels Tulane was ranked when played; beating GTech is a P5 ooc win.
Miami Hurricanes SOFT schedule except for TAMU... which maybe a soft schedule.
BYU Cougars Win over Arkansas was impressive.
Washington State Cougars Beat a Colorado State team that took Colorado to the wire, and won over a (then) ranked Wisconsin.
Oregon State Beavers Soft competition, but undefeated. Unconvincing margin of victory.
UCLA Bruins Soft competition, but undefeated.
Oklahoma Sooners Looking in form against Tulsa.
Iowa Hawkeyes Quietly undefeated and uninspiring. Iowa football.
UCF Knights Undefeated, maybe very good.
Missouri Tigers Undefeated with a P5 OOC win.
Alabama Crimson Tide Probably doesn't deserve to be ranked.
