Also three P5 wins, but they're honestly helped out a lot by Michigan continuing to do well. |

Notre Dame is doing what they should have against Ball State and Vanderbilt. I like this. Their list of wins is much better than Clemson's as well. |

Notre Dame has played a few teams close so far, but if they can put it all together, they can be really good. Win over Michigan still looks good after the Wolverines pounded Nebraska. |

Notre Dame's win over Michigan jumped Ohio State's win over TCU for me since TCU picked up a second loss. Huge matchup with Stanford this weekend.  |

The change at Qb was necessary and I think will pay off for sure. Stanford is going to be a tough game for them though. This is going to be a just hard nosed football game I think. I think ND's biggest weakness is elite athleticism, and luckily for them I think that's also Stanfords as Oregon showed. Whichever team makes the fewest mistakes might win. I think Stanford is a better team than Michigan though, and that was a close one. And Stanford just got tested by Oregon so they'll be ready to go. |

My #8 team from last week, Mississippi State, bombed. I take advantage of my platform here to celebrate when my controversial picks turn out to be right so I'd be remiss not to acknowledge a horrible whiff. Notre Dame regained my trust and confidence in their offense by starting the much more dynamic Ian Book in place of languid passer Brandon Wimbush. This team could go far with a true passing threat. |

572, -60, 512; The Irish, too, have a record that belies how bad they looked in arriving at it. The model also likes their schedule, and they'll continue getting a penalty until they clear the gauntlet. |
