Alabama is 8-3. Has nice wins over Georgia (9-2), Missouri (8-3) and South Carolina (8-3). Also has a win over LSU (7-4)

Last Week #10 at Oklahoma // Lost 3 - 24 // Alabama's offense looked dreadful. I would say that this knocked them out of the CFP, but the AP voters & CFP committee have shown in the past to overlook big brand teams losing if they show out the next week. Don't be shocked if Alabama somehow is the 11-seed if someone like Indiana, Miami, or SMU lose again before the conference championships.

Had them overranked last week. Yeesh- that was a pathetic showing. Best 3 loss team still thanks to win over #3 UGA and better losses than Ole Miss.

Alabama is a really confusing team. They beat Georgia and Mizzou, plus won on the road at LSU and Wisconsin, but then lose to Vandy and Oklahoma. I dropped them 6 spots from my poll last week. It was probably the worst performance by Alabama that I can remember. They should not be a playoff team if the season ended today and even in a couple weeks time I have a difficult time seeing how they could be unless a lot of things break their way. That being said, the committee will probably still put them in.

-7, the fall of a dynasty. Oh and Hugh Freeze is next

That's probably it for Alabama's CFP hopes. They still have wins over Georgia, USC, and Mizzou, but you just can't lose in that fashion against a 6-5 team for your third loss.

Another contender for most inconsistent team in CFB. Like Ole Miss, their high points are quite impressive. But the performance vs Oklahoma was too pathetic to ignore, so they drop further.

A not-close loss is also a loss, and Oklahoma hurts.
