Are McNamara and All really going to cure the ills of a Brian Ferentz-led offense? Can the defense continue to score enough to keep Iowa in the win column? Is this one of those Iowa teams that will have to live and die by one-score games? This much is for sure: They're 2-0 and they have a great defense and special teams. For now, that's enough for #21. |

While it’s hard to punish Iowa too hard for their first-half performance, a lame duck of a 4th quarter showing on both sides of the ball makes it difficult to consider them an outright favorite in the tumultuous B1G West, especially with continued issues on offense regardless of opponent. Encouraging signs on the typically stout defensive line and special teams will not save them in their current state, when they roll into Penn State’s Beaver Stadium in Week 4. Hopefully they can use the game against MAC’s Western Michigan to iron out some of the kinks before facing the Nittany Lions. |
