Why am I really high on Miami?  I'm not really sure.  I just think that they are a really good team. |

Is Miami the last team in Bucket 2 or the first team in Bucket 3? It's early, I'll be optimistic for them and put them in Bucket 2. |

Breaking in a new quarterback is hard, but Miami seemed to hit somewhat of a stride albeit against Bethune-Cookman. They'll have one more week before they get tested against FSU's elite defense. |

The Hurricanes won and dropped 5 spots. Huh? Well all the teams that moved ahead of them played better opponents and looked better in those games than the Canes did in their game against Bethune-Cookman. It's early, so Miami has plenty of chance to reclaim their top 10 ranking.  |

Miami needs to amp up its discipline if it wants to finally break its losing streak vs. FSU in Week 3. Against FCS Bethune-Cookman, the U had way too many penalties, so-so accuracy in the passing game, and loose press coverage on defense (especially since Arkansas State, their next opponent, loves to throw the ball). The Hurricanes have the athletes and tangibles to win the conference, let's see HC Mark Richt put everything together |

I always seem to over rate The U since I grew up during their peak years.  I always find my self asking are they back?  This past week answered none of my questions and added a few new ones.   |

Looked decent against a
MEAC team. While they did put up a lot of points against them, they did also
allow a TD. They did keep the team to 2 FGs. |

Mark Richt has always been a solid recruiter and now we get to see him perform with some of his own recruits. Richt has brought life into the program but the ACC is no joke. Miami could make the ACCCG or just as easily succumb to #CoastalChaos. |

Miami had a fairly uninspired win against Bethune-Cookman this week. With trips to Arkansas State and Florida State coming up, they don't have much time left to get into mid-season form. I'm officially putting Miami on Upset Watch against Blake Anderson's Red Wolves. |

I kinda hate Miami and that stupid turn over necklace but good job beating Bethune-Cookman. Their first challenge will be against FSU without Francois. Miami may have hit the perfect storm to start climbing the rankings. |

Miami was able to stick it to Bethune-Cookman without much difficulty. All phases of the game looked sharp, so we'll see how they, along with Va Tech and Louisville, will be able to make waves in a stacked ACC. |

Not much to learn from in a game v Bethune Cookman. Slow out of the gates is a bit concerning, but they were able to put them away convincingly late. Need more data here. |

(-7) Can you believe they let some broad named Beth Cook score 13 points all by herself? (Serious explanation, predicted margin was 35, computer doesn't take too kindly to those who underperform against FCS or very bad FBS opponents). |

Miami is mainly this low because they don't return quite as much as I would like them to. I do trust Richt, it is year two for him, and they're a relatively talented team, but I need to see some strong on-field results before I'll be ready to shout out from the rooftops and declare "Miami is BACK." |
