Great second half coaching adjustments. Impressive comeback over a strong Ole Miss team. OL needs to protect the QB a bit better. |

Best team in the national at 2nd half adjustments, with a ton of raw talent. We'll see if this can carry them as far as it has in the past, but as of today they have the best win in the nation, even if it wasn't pretty |

First half FSU is bad, second half FSU is fucking unstoppable. We all knew this going in and Fisher continues making the best half time adjustments. New QB looked great and the defense had several key turnovers. |

Florida State has the best win among preseason championship contenders.  Their first half performance doesn't signal as dominant a performance as Alabama, but their comeback victory over a very good Ole Miss deserves a rankings bump. |

Francois led an incredible comeback an against a solid Ole Miss side, coming back from an 11-point deficit. He assuaged most fears that pollsters had about the FSU QB position post-Winston and Dalvin Cook proved why he is considered to be such a dominant back. |

What a tale of two halves. Florida State immensely struggled in all 3 phases in the first half of the game. Deondre Francois looked like every bit of a true freshman. Dalvin Cook was picking up a fair amount of yards, but dropped a sure TD pass that ended up being turned into a FG. Florida State's season was over before it began. Gunslinger Chad Kelly was carving up the Noles defense. Then the second half started. The Noles went on a 39-6 run to blaze past the Rebels, and looked really good doing it. Francois played lights out, Cook got his act together, and the Noles defense tightened their game up. FSU looked like every bit of that title contender most thought they would be this season.  |

FSU had a spectacular, horrifying, wonderful, terrible win Monday night. Some very real negatives (awful offensive line) makes me think this isn't their year, but they beat a pretty good Ole Miss team and they apparently have a QB, so here they stay for now. |

First half FSU is top 15. Second half FSU is top 3-ish. I think that second-half team will appear more often than not, so I've bumped them up even relative to other top ten losses. |

I had high expectations for that Ole Miss team and through the 1st half it looked like they were going to deliver. Admittedly I underrated FSU in my first poll. Had them at #13 because of all the experience they lost, starting a freshman QB, and they lost to a G5 Houston team in their bowl game. Boy does that Houston lost from last year look different going into week 2. Hindsight is 20/20. Back in the top 5 where I should have had them last week.  |

Miss didn't have an answer for them in the second half, and they were very opportunistic on defense. I wonder how much of this is $wag Kelly being a paper tiger, but I'm hesitant to put them any lower. |
