UNC's defense has not looked as good as it did week one, but they're a very solid and talented football team. Elements that I really like and elements that I just don't trust yet.

Last Week #13 at Pitt : Won 41 - 24. I don't really have anything against UNC, just that I think the teams above them have a better body of work than the Tar Heels right now (probably even Mizzou, but we'll get to that). They have been in the driver's seat for just about all of their games, then you see that it took them 2OT to beat Appalachian State this season and you start scratching your head. They have a couple of big games coming up after the bye week against two undefeated teams: vs Syracuse (10/7) and vs #13 Miami (10/14). If UNC is 6 - 0 on 10/15, then they might (knocks on wood) be on a fast track to the ACC Championship and a NY6 Bowl.

I'm actually a little disappointed in the Tar Heels this week. Pitt stayed in that game. Pitt is terrible. That being said it wasn't close, just not a blowout like it should have been

Started the season with wins against an SEC team, BIG team, and ACC team and are rightfully rewarded for a tough schedule.

I may have the heels too high, but I feel their 4 game resume is just really solid. No extraordinary win out of the bunch, and the Minnesota win looks worse after this past week, but wins over SCar, App, and Pitt place UNC in the Top 5, weirdly enough.

Three P5 wins, and a win over a good Appalachian State team. Quietly one of the better teams in the country.

Played a relatively difficult schedule, 4-0.

Confusing team

Good win but Pitt is barely a P5 team

Wasn't the best win you'll ever see, but the Tar Heels continued to win handily with a 41-24 win over Pitt. Their schedule hasn't been the best this year, but South Carolina looks to be a decent team and outside of the App State scare, UNC has handled their business. However, they need to start winning against better teams or else they risk sliding down the rankings even with wins.

They’ve won in different ways every week. UNC has some real potential.
