samuelbassett Ballot for 2023 Week 5

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 24, 2023, 1:55 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs
Florida State Seminoles
Texas Longhorns
Ohio State Buckeyes They're a tough team after all
Michigan Wolverines
Washington Huskies Good team, no drama. Should win the P12 and get into the CFP but might be left out
Penn State Nittany Lions Solid win against Iowa. Somehow shut out Iowa's defense
Alabama Crimson Tide Was a good team; polls unfairly punished Bama for loss against Texas
Utah Utes Good team with a tough schedule.
Oklahoma Sooners Tested on the road against a good defense, and still found a way to win
Oregon Ducks Ran up the score against a clearly beaten Colorado (without their best player)
USC Trojans If ASU had one more impact player, then they'd have won; there are too many good teams on SC's schedule this year
North Carolina Tar Heels
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Loss to an OSU is not surprising. NBC's commentators are a huge turnoff.
Tennessee Volunteers
Fresno State Bulldogs Should win the Mountain West, will likely compete with Tulane for the G5 NY6 spot. Finally got to see the bulk of a game.
Washington State Cougars Surprisingly good; not sure they'd beat the Beavs in Corvallis
Oregon State Beavers
Kansas Jayhawks Has a legitimate shot at winning the XII.
Ole Miss Rebels Tough loss, but not a huge surprise. Fall on my ranking is moreso new information about other teams (WSU, Kansas, Fresno)
Missouri Tigers Mizzou will compete for the SEC East for the first time in a decade.
Tulane Green Wave Best team in the American; Memphis is biggest challenge left on the schedule
LSU Tigers Probably/potentially overrated here; we will know more about them after the Mississippi game
Georgia State Panthers Setting the pace in the Sun Belt
Wyoming Cowboys Second best team in the MW, and could knock off Fresno at 7200 feet high
