As an Ohio State fan. It hurts to have Covid ruined what would have been a great chance to win the national chapionship. |

+1 | 90.3 (TERSE rating) | With the top quarterback in the nation, a superb skill corps, defensive depth rising to the fore, and one of the most dominant regular-season performances of recent years, the Buckeyes were expected to lead the way in 2020, but they'll instead hope to do so in 2021. |

Although they lost to Clemson in the playoffs, OSU looked like the better team. A healthy Justin Fields with a year of experience and very talented receivers around him would have been deadly. Defense may take a small step back, but not enough for Clemson to take the #1 spot. |

Most overall talent and returning coaching imo. |

Was there any team not wearing purple and gold more complete than OSU last season?  Probably not.  And the horrifying thing would be how young the team was.  Assuming that Fields would still be playing had the Big 10 not chosen to opt out, I think Ohio State is a terror to anyone in their way. |

Good returning talent and strong coaching. Hoping they get to play! Heavy favorite over anyone of their current schedule. |

Justin Fields had an amazing sophomore campaign, but the biggest thing to note for the Buckeyes is transfer Trey Sermon out of Oklahoma. You saw the talent at OU even splitting time with Kennedy Brooks, and I think transitioning to the Buckeye offense will better highlight his natural running ability. Add to weapons like Master Teague and Chris Olave, and the Buckeyes should have no problem moving the ball. On defense, the loss of Chase Young and Jeff Okduah is massive. However, upfront you have the three-headed monster of Cooper, Harrison, and Smith who should account for some of Chase's production. And Shaun Wade should lead a very inexperienced DB group, which should mitigate any worries about how well they'll learn.  |

We were told to include teams who aren't playing in the preseason poll so here they are.  2nd best QB in the country and just stacked with talent.  Would have been fun to watch this year. |

For my money, this was the best defense in the country last year, and it is almost certainly not going to be this year. Everyone knows Chase Young is gone, but breaking in three new defensive backs is actually going to be a taller order, especially with a new DC. If they weren't replacing Jeff Hafley, I would have them ahead of Clemson. Fortunately, the offense will continue annihilating people -- should cruise in the East, again. |
