Clemson and Houston were tough to decide between. I give the not to Clemson here simply because of the huge differential in S&P+ and F+ rankings between the teams and Houston's win over Oklahoma is a little less glittery than it was last week.
Clemson didn't struggle against South Carolina State like they did in the first two weeks. They took care of business. Not much to say beyond they took out an 0-3 FCS team in dominating fashion, as they should.
Clemson has looked bad against their first two opponents but finally got their team going...against an FCS opponent that went 7-4. I am still waiting for Clemson to impress me this season.
I hate hate hate moving teams up when they play FCS teams, but simply due to making my poll easier to fill out I'm doing it. Thus far though Clemson has looked the least like a contender out of the top teams IMO. Not impressed by beating a team that literally throws the football into the endzone to gift you a touchdown.
Prev 8I messed up my poll last week a bit and mean to put them at 8 after a godawful series of showings. They beat another awful team and they get no reward for it, despite mercy ruling them.
Seriously, why are people ranking these guys so high? Either Troy and Auburn are contenders this year, or Clemson isn't. I'm leaning towards the second option.
