f0gax Ballot for 2016 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2016, 11:29 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide
Ohio State Buckeyes
Louisville Cardinals I'm impressed by this team. Maybe overly impressed. But at this point in the season I don't know who would have a chance to slow them down other than Alabama or Ohio State.
Stanford Cardinal
Clemson Tigers
Michigan Wolverines
Washington Huskies
Houston Cougars
Wisconsin Badgers
Michigan State Spartans
Arkansas Razorbacks
Nebraska Cornhuskers
LSU Tigers
Tennessee Volunteers I don't know what to do with Tennessee. Blatant homerism says to punish them for another lackluster effort against an lesser opponent. I did drop them by five spots. At this point I had expected them to have three convincing wins. And the only question against UF would be the margin of the Vols' victory. But now, even with UF's QB issue, I'm not so sure. And if UT loses to UF the wheels will probably come off quickly. I *think* that they're top-10. But the results in front of me says "15-ish".
UCLA Bruins
Boise State Broncos
Miami Hurricanes
Florida Gators Homerism Alert - I moved UF up a bit from 23 based on what was actually a pretty blah outing. But the loses above them kind of forced this. They moved as a group with UCLA, Boisie, and Miami.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Texas A&M Aggies
Georgia Bulldogs
Oklahoma Sooners
Ole Miss Rebels
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Florida State Seminoles I was tempted to set FSU to unranked. So far their quality win doesn't look great. And they got woodshedded by a team that, on paper, should have been themselves overwhelmed. As the OM-Bama game started my thought was that FSU's rank would depend entirely on how Ole Miss fared. That they blew another lead seems, to me at least, that Ole Miss can't close more so than FSU can adjust and come back. Especially given how FSU didn't adjust and come back.
