wazoheat Ballot for 2016 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 19, 2016, 4:04 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Still too early to feel too confident in these rankings, outside of a few top teams and a few choice omissions. This next week will give me a lot more confidence.

Rank Team Reason
Louisville Cardinals I knew I ranked you guys high for a reason. Well done. There's a new king of the ACC.
Ohio State Buckeyes I'm still of the mind that Oklahoma was overrated, but it's hard to ignore the shellackings Ohio State has put on 3 teams now.
Houston Cougars Ohio State, Louisville, and Houston are the only teams that have completely dominated all their competition, while playing good teams. Of course, who knows who the real "good" teams are this early.
Alabama Crimson Tide https://media.giphy.com/media/3o6gDXg5TTzX2hfXag/giphy.gif
Michigan Wolverines It's tough to tell if Colorado is still the same old terrible opponant, but regardless, Michigan took care of them after some early slip-ups.
Florida Gators No idea why everyone's so down on Florida and up on Tennessee. At least Florida has blown out their weak competition. Though without Del Rio we'll see how they survive.
Stanford Cardinal Solid wins over 2 P5 teams. No glaring weaknesses yet.
Washington Huskies Still haven't played anyone, but it's hard to ignore the hype. These next 3 weeks will be a real test.
Nebraska Cornhuskers Not a flawless win, but they have as solid a case as any for being the team to beat in the B1G West.
Wisconsin Badgers It is entirely possible that LSU was overrated going into this season.
Texas A&M Aggies We're good, but maybe not *that* good. For sure we need to start getting touchdowns in the red zone.
Baylor Bears Sure, sending Rice to 0-3 is no accomplishment, but they do have 3 blowout wins, which gives them a better resume than most teams on this list.
Michigan State Spartans I'm down on these guys compared to the polls only because it seems as if Notre Dame aren't who we thought they were. They'll have a chance to prove themselves at Wisconsin.
Arkansas Razorbacks Excited for another classic overtime game next week.
Miami Hurricanes Another unproven team that has 3 blowouts on their resume.
Utah Utes San Jose State not exactly a blockbuster team this year. Still lots of questions for the Utes, though conference play should provide answers.
Clemson Tigers Seriously, why are people ranking these guys so high? Either Troy and Auburn are contenders this year, or Clemson isn't. I'm leaning towards the second option.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets This week vs. Clemson will answer a lot of questions for both teams.
Georgia Southern Eagles A surprisingly interesting matchup against Western Michigan next week!
San Diego State Aztecs A strong start to the season for the Aztecs. Could be the team to beat in the Mountain West.
Central Michigan Chippewas Not much to go on for these guys. It may end up being Toledo that is their strongest test of the year.
Tennessee Volunteers Another team that the AP poll is inexplicably in love with. If it weren't for a lack of options I wouldn't be ranking them at all...
USF Bulls I feel like even a win this week won't net them any respect: people will just say Florida State was overrated to begin with.
Arizona State Sun Devils Some tight victories on their resume gives me trepidation. Though it is nice that their defense was able to win it for them this week after it was nowhere to be found last week.
Texas Longhorns Once again proving themselves the Galaxy S7 of the state
