Austinperroux Ballot for 2016 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 18, 2016, 6:24 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Ignoring records and mostly looking at strength of wins and quality of losses (ie a 3-0 team over an FCS and 2 lower end G5s is usually not as good as 2-1 with 1 quality loss). Depends heavily on showing and power of wins/losses.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama was slow in getting their offense and defense going. Alabama came back from a 21 point deficit and managed to scrape out the win from Oxford. Alabama still maintains the number one spot.
Louisville Cardinals Holy hell I didn't see this one coming. Beating Florida State was enough to justify top 5 but completely slaughtering them puts them at #2 for me.
Ohio State Buckeyes 2 G5 wins and a very convincing win over Oklahoma puts them at #3. I debated putting them above Louisville but I'm still debating if Oklahoma is actually just THAT bad this season.
Michigan Wolverines Michigan is quite out of place among all the top teams. Still waiting for a good win for Michigan. The only thing keeping Michigan in the top 4 is that Houston looked BAD against Cincinnati.
Houston Cougars Houston's win over Oklahoma looks less impressive than it initially did. Couple that with a bad victory over Cincy, Houston has yet to move above 5.
Stanford Cardinal Stanford has had a surprisingly slow offense, but has played some decent P5 opponents. Their win over USC propels them above Clemson.
Clemson Tigers Clemson has looked bad against their first two opponents but finally got their team going...against an FCS opponent that went 7-4. I am still waiting for Clemson to impress me this season.
Washington Huskies Washington hasn't played many good opponents yet. Their here because tons of teams just haven't performed to expectations. Washington finally enters Pac 12 play so we should finally know if this team is for real.
Michigan State Spartans MSU is good or Notre Dame is bad? Either way, MSU almost blew it big against Notre Dame. Another wait and see team.
Wisconsin Badgers Wisconsin almost got stunned at home by Georgia State. Wisconsin has had a really slow offense every week and I am beginning to think MSU will beat them this Saturday.
Texas A&M Aggies
Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss almost beat Alabama....key word: almost. That being said Ole Miss still looks like a decent team at #12.
North Dakota State Bison
Miami Hurricanes
Tennessee Volunteers
Florida State Seminoles
Georgia Bulldogs
Arkansas Razorbacks
Oklahoma Sooners
Nebraska Cornhuskers
San Diego State Aztecs
UCLA Bruins
Iowa Hawkeyes
LSU Tigers
Utah Utes
