Alabama's two Top 10 wins over UGA and Ole Miss were enough to make up for the loss they had while Michigan only had the Top 10 win to Ohio State with their next best win being Wisconsin and just not doing enough to jump to #2 with unbeaten Cincinnati there.Last Week: 4

TheFlyingBoat	1	#1 Strength of Record in the country, #4 SoS (ESPN), the highest of any team in the top 20 of the AP poll, and the best coach in the history of college football elevate what is an otherwise less impressive than normal (see: ridiculous standards) Alabama side to #1 in the final pre Bowls poll on the back of an incredible win over Georgia. Bryce Young will probably win the Heisman, he has some decent receivers, but the relatively weak OL that miraculously showed up against Georgia has kept their offense looking less impressive than normal. Alabama's 8th ranked defense in DF+ also for some reason doesn't pass the eye test for me either. Something about Alabama just feels weaker than previous years, but appearances of mortality notwithstanding, Alabama has proved that under Nick Saban that they know how to win on the biggest stages and the fact that they did so in the SEC Championship game proves they are your deserving #1 team...for now.

YellowSkarmory	1	Well, Georgia losing to Alabama means #1 is interesting for really the first time since the early weeks of the year. I have Alabama at #1, as they have two great wins against UGA on a neutral site and at home against Ole Miss, and solid depth all around to back it up; a home win against Arkansas and a road win against Mississippi State are both solid, and wins against decent Tennessee & Miami squads shouldn't be overlooked either. They do have that loss to Texas A&M and that rough game against Auburn, but I think their wins more than make up for it. However, I could easily see a case for any of 1-4 to be #1 at this point, but in my opinion, Alabama has the best resume.
