Pot 4

The biggest surprise for a guy that swears by SoR is that Michigan St is at 9. Surely you might say, "Mr. TheFlyingBoat, Michigan St has an SoR of 6, how could you put them at 9?" I would respond, "nice fellow, what you miss is that Michigan State just isn't very good." Unfortunately for them performance in game and margin of victory do matter even if they don't really matter much in SoR. The fact that Ohio State drubbed them in the manner they did on national television really puts a damper on their record, especially given Michigan State lost to both ranked teams they've faced, the computers absolutely loathe them, and the eye test doesn't save them. That SoR is the only thing saving them from being below Ole Miss.

+1

Michigan State has a great win at home against Michigan, but there's not too much else there; home wins against Penn State and at Miami are their next 2 best wins, which aren't great. They also looked awful at Ohio State and had that road loss to Purdue as well.

Kenneth Walker not getting so much as an invitation to New York is a disgrace. Although, this has been one of the most forgetful Heisman competitions in years.

Michigan win is carrying this resume a pretty far way and unlike the teams behind them they don't have some random terrible loss but not enough depth to jump Ole Miss.Last Week: 11
