(Computer #4: LSU) So there's probably going to be a big debate between Utah and OU/Baylor. Utah and Baylor were actually tied in points, but I would give the edge to Baylor for better wins and better loss. OU is only .5 points behind the two, and obviously has the win over Baylor so here they are. I think Utah is the better team, but resume is better for OU.
The Sooners were the big winners of the weekend. The pieces to get back into the CFP played out nicely for them and just need LSU to win out as they virtually control their own destiny at this juncture.
Close win over an unranked TCU team. Lone loss was to an unranked Kansas State with a head-to-head win on the road at Baylor. Ranked ahead of Baylor for this reason.
Oklahoma has ridden their luck a couple of times this year and the lunacy of the BigXII title game will probably do them more harm than good. Hard to see them making the playoff, but they're still a very solid team overall.
Both FPI and SP+ have OU's offense in the Top 5 and OU's defense outside the Top 40. This one-sided approach has led to a lot of close calls this season and last weekend's game against TCU was no exception. This team can only go so far before this weakness hurts them again.
On one hand, I see the upside and the talent here for Oklahoma to be way higher. But it's been a month since OU played a game that I said "yeah, you really deserved to win this game." Not sure what's going on here.
